Florist at Solberge Hall – Editorial Shoot

Wedding Flowers

Nestled in the picturesque North Yorkshire countryside, Solberge Hall provides an idyllic backdrop for any event or editorial shoot. Recently, our floristry team had the pleasure of working on a stunning editorial shoot at this exquisite venue, and we’re excited to share the experience with you.

Solberge Hall, with its elegant architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens, offers a perfect blend of historical grandeur and natural beauty. This serene location inspired us to design floral arrangements that would complement its classic aesthetic. Our goal was to create pieces that not only enhanced the venue’s natural beauty but also told a unique story for the editorial shoot.

Working alongside an amazing team including Toast of Leeds who provided images and video, hair by Tosetti, Charlotte Wilson MUA, Love Lights the Way, Where the Ribbon Ends, Retro Press and The Harrogate Wedding Lounge, this styled shoot had all the hallmarks of a luxury wedding.

The top table that was featured in the shoot was one of the many elements we designed the florals for. We wanted to compliment the whites and golds of the décor, using soft white and pink flowers that contrast beautifully with the dark greenery, creating a simple and graceful arrangement.

We also adorned the table with small glass candlesticks, along with individual small vases that held the same white and pink blooms, which added an extra touch to every table and helped tie the whole scheme together. Where the Ribbon Ends had provided beautifully detailed wedding sweet treats which were used as place settings and complimented our flowers perfectly.

For the bouquet, we sought to echo the elegance of the top table while providing a focal point that would enhance the bride’s outfits. We curated a selection of soft white and blush pink blooms, accented by lush greenery. By carefully balancing these elements, we crafted a bouquet that seamlessly integrated with the overall aesthetic.

We paid careful attention to the proportions and balance. The size of the bouquet was chosen to complement the bride’s ensemble without overwhelming it. It needed to be large enough to make a statement, yet delicate enough to highlight the bride’s natural beauty. The handle was wrapped in a soft, satin ribbon that matched the tones of the flowers, providing a comfortable and elegant grip.

The final result was a bouquet that was more than just an accessory – it was a centrepiece in its own right. A bouquet should always enhance the eoverall look rather than overpower it, along with contributing to the romantic atmosphere.

In the grandeur of Solberge Hall, even the smallest details command attention. This is where the urn came into play – a statement piece that added an extra layer of charm and sophistication to the setting. With the mix of blooms cascading from its brim, paired with abundant greenery, the urn exuded a sense of romance and elegance that perfectly complemented the venue’s ambience.

The urn played a pivotal role in tying together the various floral elements, from the bride’s bouquet to the top table arrangement. It provided a sense of continuity and cohesion, ensuring that every part of the floral décor complemented each other and contributed to the overall theme.

As the cameras clicked and the model posed, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride in our work. Our floral arrangements didn’t just adorn Solberge Hall; they became an integral part of its story, weaving tales of love and beauty that would linger long after the shoot had ended.

In the end, our journey at Solberge Hall was more than just a floral adventure; it was a testament to the power of creativity, passion, and the timeless allure of flowers.
